I liked this character in the first film. The way he lost his arms was really spectacular, but the appearance of the arms themselves was a bit far-fetched. In the second film, he was always wearing a T-shirt. Apparently, it was easier to draw the CG arms that way. But I decided that without Mighty, he looked much more epic and cool, just like in the first film.
I think Mehcad did a great job with this character, and I wonder if they'll bring him back in the third film.
