The character was brought back spontaneously and very stupidly, in my opinion. They could have simply searched the corpse to find the ancient artifact in his shirt, without reviving him. And then, a couple of minutes later, handed him an eye with the same power as his arcana. It would have been possible to conjure such eyes for all the warriors of the outer world, easily conquering the Earth.

This is probably the only part of the film that felt like something from the first film to me: awkward, illogical. And most importantly, pointless.

But I liked the character himself, and I'm glad he's back with the main cast – he's joking around, throwing knives, and firing lasers.
